Hospital for the Poor

To provide the poor with affordable access to quality medical services and facilities, the FOLPMI just finished building a first-rate hospital called Our Lady of Peace Hospital. This is the only hospital that can provide quality health care to the poor in Manila.

The 100-bed hospital dubbed "Hospital for the Poor" is FOLPMI's largest project. The hospital, which is located on the Coastal Road in Baragay San Dionisio, Paranaque City (see map), is helping keep the poor alive and healthy, and helping the sick get back to normal life.

In December 2001, St. Charles Borromeo Philippine Medical Mission, with the help of Crosslink International, St. Vincent de Paul Society, St. Charles Social Justice Ministry, and the Philippine Embassy in Washington DC, sent three 40-foot containers full of supplies for the hospital. These donations provided the hospital with beds, operating tables, lamps, computers, and medical supplies.
